SEAGULL

A John Welsford design

Length — 15’ 3”
Beam — 4’

John Welsford has a fascination with rowing small boats. The man even vacations under oar power, so it's only natural that he brings a special perspective to designing boats that reward the rower with easy and enjoyable motion. Seagull is one of those boats. This is no flatiron skiff; this is a lean but stable boat that will surprise people who are only used to thrashing the water in a 'utility' skiff.

Simple and easy to assemble on the supplied building frame, and our choice Okoume plywood makes a strong and attractive hull (you may want to simply varnish it!).

This boat will also accept a small outboard or electric trolling motor if desired, making it perfect for fishing or picnics alike. The easily-driven hull will allow extended trips on minimal amounts of gas or battery power.
