We've moved!
You can only fit so much in a tight space, and we
finally had to face the facts: we needed more room!
We have acquired a new facility that will allow us
to expand our operation and continue to develop and
produce our kits, and will be moving during the next
few weeks. Now, if only I can remember where I put
that plane.....
John Welsford comes to America
For those who may not have already marked their calendars,
draw a circle around Saturday, October 2; that's the
day that John Welsford will be giving a workshop presentation
on amateur boatbuilding at the Mid-Atlantic Small
Craft Festival. The Festival is held annually at the
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, on
Maryland's beautiful and historic Eastern Shore and
is one of the nation’s premier small craft events.
Hundreds of amateur and professional boat builders
and enthusiasts bring their skiffs, kayaks, and canoes
(including our own KIBW craft). Take part in demonstrations
and workshops, or simply chat with the owners and
watch these one-of-a-kind vessels race. All this,
for the price of Museum admission ($10.00 Adults;
$9.00 Seniors over 62; $5.00 Kids 6-17; Kids under
6 are free). This is also a great chance to meet and
talk with one of the best small boat designers around
today. This is truly an enjoyable event for all who
contemplate building their own boat, or simply love
seeing boats. For directions, visit the Museum's web
site (http://cbmm.org/).
